Not since Lenny Bruce has such an influential comic gone virtually unrecognized during his lifetime. The acerbic wit of Bill Hicks influenced a generation of comics and earned him praise, envy and respect. Bill Hicks died in 1994. Too bad. There's no more where he came from.
