Quick Overview

Dreams are a funny thing. You close your eyes, fall into a deep trance, and let your subconscious take over for a solid 8-10 hours. Most of us can’t plan our dreams but somehow our daily experiences, interactions, troubles, and joys flow into surreal narratives where more often than not we play the main character. They can feel extremely real yet completely bizarre and unexplainable. They are unconscious voyages into the deep, dark corners of our mind where we can simultaneously fabricate a new world and relive memories.

But there are a select few among us who can straddle the liminal worlds of dreams, the subconscious, the surreal, the unexplained, the magic, and the mystery. These sailors of the psyche take control of their dreams and guide their destiny as Psychonauts, traveling “awake” within their dreams.

Join us in Psychonauts, as we raise our anchor and set sail on an unknown voyage with seven featured artists whose work pushes the possibilities for consciousness within contemporary art. They each work in various mediums and conceptual frameworks but all share a common interest in the human condition. In addition to the features, we also invited 14 artists from around the world to create original work for our psychonaut project pages. The results are extremely unique and anything but predictable. So close your third eye, let your eyelids get heavy and your limbs become numb. You are becoming more and more drowsy. Every word I utter is pulling you faster and deeper, and faster and deeper, into a deep, peaceful state of hypnosis….
