Quick Overview

"I spotted the legendary British DJ sitting by himself backstage at Glastonbury in 1995. I sat beside him in the grass, told him how much I loved him, and thanked him for turning me on to so much great music over the years."

Details

"We were interrupted by Robbie Williams, who came up to do the exact same thing I was doing. He was sweet and smiley the whole time until I asked him if I could take some photos and he grimaced at me."

From 1992-2000 and from 2002-2007 Johnny Riggs worked as a DJ at Baltimore/Washington's leading alternative rock radio station, WHFS (and on XM Radio from 2000-2002). He was also in the band Cinnamon Toast.

Being in a band and also a popular DJ at a beloved area radio station gave him access to a wide range of "alternative" (#whateverthatmeans) artists. Equipped with a Polaroid Captiva, he used that access to take these. He has been shooting Polaroids since he was 7 years old.
