Founder of the legendary group The Birthday Party, his first solo album was hailed in New Musical Express as 'one of the greatest rock albums ever made'. He has since gone on to release a steady stream of LPs and singles with his present band The Bad Seeds, all of which have received international acclaim. He continues to make records and much of his time is also taken up with writing and acting. His film appearances include Wings of Desire, directed by Wim Wenders, and the controversial prison film Ghosts of the Civil Dead. Lyrics, sketches, and one-act plays by the former vocalist of the Birthday Party and current leader of the Bad Seeds.
Contains almost all of the lyrics which Cave recorded with the Birthday Party as well his early work with the Bad Seeds.
