1933-1934 (the last of the black-and-white Sundays) is a notably elusive era in Kat history, with only a tiny handful of the Sundays ever having been reprinted anywhere, so this volume will contain mostly strips that are new to even the most diligent Kat kollectors. Most of these strips have not seen print since originally running in Hearst newspapers over 70 years ago.

Krazy & Ignatz 1933-1934 will be a hot-baked brickbat of a volume, a-dance with nearly two full years of the Sunday Krazy Kat (Herriman did not use color until 1935), snug between multiple pages of Herriman extras, not the least of which include an introduction by editor Bill Blackbeard, a new 'DeBaffler' page, another extensive sequence of dailies, and a stunning layout, front, back, and throughout, by the inimitable Chris Ware!
