Details
Shiori was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1951 on August 15, six years after the day the initial announcement of Japan's surrender to the Allies was made, the official end of World War II. In 1955 she came to the United States with her Japanese mother and American father, a U.S. Army corporal and government employee in MacArthur's headquarters during the Tokyo War Crimes Trials. She has lived in the United States since then.
