"Therefore in photographs of people I've hung out with a few times, my memory can be a bit shaky. I think this was taken in a recording studio in Virginia prior to a show. If so, there is a series of photographs that someone took that day where Liz and I were slow dancing. I dipped her, she dipped me, and I've never seen the photos. I'm not even sure who took them. If you know, please tell them I want copies."
From 1992-2000 and from 2002-2007 Johnny Riggs worked as a DJ at Baltimore/Washington's leading alternative rock radio station, WHFS (and on XM Radio from 2000-2002). He was also in the band Cinnamon Toast.
Being in a band and also a popular DJ at a beloved area radio station gave him access to a wide range of "alternative" (#whateverthatmeans) artists. Equipped with a Polaroid Captiva, he used that access to take these. He has been shooting Polaroids since he was 7 years old.
