"At some point he brought Michael around to chat with me. I was reading the book The Big Book of Beastly Mispronunciations: The Complete Opinionated Guide for the Careful Speaker by Charles Harrington Elster and remarked on the fact that 'cumin' was NOT pronounced KOO-min or KYOO-min, but was, in fact, pronounced KUMMIN', like 'I'm cummin''. Michael grabbed the book from me, read the explanation why and was convinced, but he said "I'm not saying that."

From 1992-2000 and from 2002-2007 Johnny Riggs worked as a DJ at Baltimore/Washington's leading alternative rock radio station, WHFS (and on XM Radio from 2000-2002). He was also in the band Cinnamon Toast.

Being in a band and also a popular DJ at a beloved area radio station gave him access to a wide range of "alternative" (#whateverthatmeans) artists. Equipped with a Polaroid Captiva, he used that access to take these. He has been shooting Polaroids since he was 7 years old.
