In my experience with this zine, there’s usually more of a theme in each issue, but other than the thread of Baltimore, I can’t say that I picked up on one this time around. As usual, it’s a diverse mixture of authors and styles. Most of the selections make me feel like I was sitting a bar with some friends, drinking beer and hearing them swap tales and trivia about life in Baltimore. So much fun! There are a few sinister fiction stories (“Marilyn” by Caryn Coyle and “Nancy is Waiting” by Jeffrey L. Shipley), but I actually liked two of the poems the best (the hot “Raconteur” by E. Doyle-Gillespie and the sweetly sad “4:37 a.m.” by S.J. Ferrandi). A solid zine.
