Much like our music scene, Baltimore has seen an explosion of first-rate comic artists over the last decade. Espey may well be my favorite, with work that manages to exude classical and lysergic vibes at once. Ishi’s Brain blends mystical and sci-fi elements into a tour-de-force narrative that also happens to be almost completely non-verbal. (Posted on 1/31/12)
