This collection is edited by Colin Tedford, Daniel Barlow, Marek Bennett and our own Anne Thalheimer of BOOTY (and she also has a wonderful comic about salt water.) Most of the comics are about problems with the food industry and our diets, but there are some others about the love of food, gardening, and recipes. I especially liked Matthew Sundstrom’s “The Sugar Tree,” about a maple tree’s revenge after being tapped for sugar. An added bonus: each issue contains an envelope affixed to the inside back cover with a packet of seeds and The Trees & Hills Kitchen Companion, a collection of cartoonists’ favorite recipes. As a gardener and a food lover, I very much enjoyed this zine. (Posted on 8/12/12)
