This is not just a beautiful booze-themed coffee table book - it's actually a really great survey of what I consider to be the superior liquor - whisky - or as I like to call it, "whiskey".
I admit that I am not a scotch fan - the stigma of the scotch drinker, like the cigar smoker or the golf player, is just too douchey for me to want to be associated with - plus I find the flavors, at best, brutish and oafish. In fact, I find myself simply wishing I was drinking a great glass of bourbon the whole time I try scotch. So those pages, I can skip over - but fortunately,
Roskrow gives measured treatment to all whiskies - and provides a great book to drink your way through - with just enough reading to accompany a good glass of whisky. (Posted on 2/4/12)
