This book almost ruined my life. I thought it just hit too close to home, with its story of a 42 year old woman wondering "what if?" But then Entertainment Weekly gave it their number 1 too and I realize that on top of it all, it was a really clever book. (Plot: a woman in a long term relationship is attracted to a male friend. each chapter is told twice, once as if she follows her attraction, kisses him,and leaves her partner, and once as if she doesn't.)
