This guy is a talented illustrator and captures a moment well but I have to bring up a serious pet peeve that applies not just to him: I see a lot of cartoonists who do not present their best work in the stuff they publish and save it for some theoretical, future contract with a “real” publisher. This ruins the idea of zines—diminishing their value to a mere novelty business card or resume. That said, this guy is solid but virtually every issue of this has upset me in its irrelevance. I never went to the Oscars but I also avoid writing stories that don’t have conflict or resolution or the basic elements of storytelling. I love your style Aaron but choose your subjects better. At least this issue isn’t about being xenophobic like #1.
