S,H,YiB is a zine about Baltimore written by those who live in and love Baltimore.
Many well-known zinesters contribute to each issue, and like NOT MY SMALL DIARY , it’s a bit like reading a who’s who of the zine world. I’m always entertained by the writers’ fondness for their city and the range of talent in each issue. S,H,YiB captures a snapshot of gritty, funny real life. In this issue, you can read tales of drunken adventures, essays on city development, fiction, poetry and stories of love, family, work, sex, cops and more.
Strong entries include Timmy Reed’s essay on the National Museum of Dentistry, The Rev. Jeffrey L. Shipley’s dangerous urination experiences, and Joe Higler’s story of chasing Ted Nugent and landing in jail (by unrelated circumstances).
