ToBaR is a compilation of horror fiction, poetry, and artwork. Topics range from vampires, demons, killers and death, to love and loss. Like most comp zines, it’s a mixed bag. Some seem like the beginnings of a story, where the author is still finding their legs. Others are more enjoyable and polished. The same is true for the poetry. Horror is not my genre these days, but I did enjoy most of the zine and the drawings in particular. The price is a bit steep, so it’s really aimed at those who like darker stories. For those who want to branch out and read something new, though, it’s a decent zine within the genre.
