Just Kids

Product Review (submitted on June 12, 2013):
Patti Smith does an excellent job merging the poetic and the possible in prose. In Just Kids she rebuilds a time of dramatic changes in society and music, strange art scenes and recollections of childhood. Woven through strongly is her relationship with controversial artist Mapplethorpe which, like the book, is oddly formulated but utterly convincing. Just Kids also documents Smith's meteoric rise to punk notoriety.
