Quick Overview

"I was bartending for a children's charity with the cast of the tv show Homicide at Kooper’s Tavern in Fells Point when I met Steve. He had just directed an episode of the show, so he stopped by to hang out and drink with us."

"I asked him 2 questions. 1) How do you pronounce your name? (He said Boo Shem Ee) 2) How do you pronounce Chloe Sevigny's name? (As an English major, this interview makes sense. As anything else, this just shows that I'm a nitpicking prat.)"

From 1992-2000 and from 2002-2007 Johnny Riggs worked as a DJ at Baltimore/Washington's leading alternative rock radio station, WHFS (and on XM Radio from 2000-2002). He was also in the band Cinnamon Toast.

Being in a band and also a popular DJ at a beloved area radio station gave him access to a wide range of "alternative" (#whateverthatmeans) artists. Equipped with a Polaroid Captiva, he used that access to take these. He has been shooting Polaroids since he was 7 years old.
