Quick Overview

"sometimes i think sub rosa three is the most confused dramatic zine i have ever written. it's painful to read & remember how much pain i was in at that time & how i tried so hard to ignore it & pretend i was happy. the gut-wrenching sadness i experienced every minute i was awake only to fall asleep & have stress-induced nightmares that kept me from getting a good night's sleep. but if anything, it was that tortured sense of being that made for a good zine."

"it's thirty pages of heartbreak & survival, addiction & love. this zine is full of questions & answers & a girl begging the world to give her a chance to make things right, forgive her mistakes & lend a helping hand each morning when she fights to get out of bed."

From Sub Rosa #3
I was assembling zines yesterday & I decided to read my own words. Usually I get so anxious when I finish a zine I never look at it again. But this time I figured I would read it. Those were m words & I put a lot of time & energy into them. I was sad & embarassed that I was so whiney & full of despair but the other part of me felt like Sub Rosa had been the best writing I've ever done. I'm torn between two parts, sadness & pride.
