His early fascination with cartoons, comic books and model kits lead directly to Donny receding into his own self-created world of monsters and hot rods.

Unfortunately, his early creativity went unappreciated and he was deemed a problem student, so he dropped out of school at the tender age 14 and never looked back. Ironically, the 'bad kid' image worked to his advantage in the punk rock scene, where he further cut his teeth designing endless flyers, demo tape covers and eventually LP jackets. As a result of this 'baptism of fire' he can paint, draw and build things like nobody's business. This lead to commissions doing large silk-screened posters and CD covers for bands like New Jersey's infamous Electric Frankenstein, Swedish sensations The Hellacopters, The Wildhearts from the UK and Japan's The 5.6.7.8's, where his now in-demand style was a perfect fit.
