ORDERING & SHIPPING INFORMATION

HOLIDAY SHOPPING:
The deadline for online ordering items to arrive before Christmas is Dec. 5. You're welcome to continue to order after that time, but you're rolling the dice.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL!
We reserve the right to refuse any order. RUDE or ABUSIVE or THREATENING emails will get you no where. Why would they?
No refunds or cancellations on pre-ordered single-issue comics permitted.
WHAT'S HAPPENS WHEN I PLACE AN ONLINE ORDER?
When you place an online order, you receive an email confirmation.
We then pull your order. If all your items are in stock, your order goes into our shipping queue.
Due to the extremely high volume of online orders we're getting (thank you!), the shipping queue is about 8-12 business days.
Once your order is packed, you'll get an email with tracking information.
Once the post office receives your package, that tracking information will be updated.
If items are not in stock, and need to be reordered, your order goes into the shipping queue when we get the restocks.
WHY WAS AN ITEM REMOVED FROM MY ORDER OR MY ORDER CANCELED?
We are a live, functioning bookstore. Sometimes items sell out in the store faster than we can pull your order or make them out of stock on our website. If that happens, we may remove an item from your order.
If there are a significant amount of items no longer available, we may cancel your order. It's not personal. We just didn't think you'd want to pay shipping on a such a small order.
You will either not be charged or you will be refunded for items that we remove or for canceled orders (I mean, that seems obvious, but we know people get nervous).
HOW DO I CHECK ON AN ORDER?
Please email orders@atomicbooks.com and we will get back to you within a reasonable time frame. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE STORE. Also remember, calling and emailing take valuable time away from us shipping your order. So it does slow up the process.
ORDERS SHIP SOONER IF ALL ITEMS ARE IN STOCK
Most orders ship out the week they're placed, but some do take longer. Currently our turnaround is about 5-12 days.
You will be notified if something is out of stock or has recently gone out of print. So please check your email! We will wait a few additional days for your response. If your order is canceled it means that the item is OUT OF STOCK.
Please put a message in the "Special Notes" section of your online order if you need your order by a specific time and we can let you know if that's possible.
Not everything on our website is in-stock at our shop, and not everything in stock at our shop is on our website.

SHIPPING: UNITED STATES
$10 flat rate shipping & handling fee for most orders, unless an item is noted as oversized or requiring extra shipping fees. In that case you will be contacted about shipping price and whether it will be sent UPS or USPS. Most orders are sent USPS.
INSTORE PICK-UP: Place an order to pick up in the store, 3620 Falls Rd, Baltimore, MD, 21211. PLEASE WAIT for confirmation that your order is ready for pick-up.
PRE-ORDERS
When pre-ordering an item, your entire order will ship when all the pre-ordered items arrive. If you don't want to wait, just place separate orders for each pre-order item to have the titles ship separately. In this instance extra shipping fees will apply since the order will require separate shipping.
Also, pre-orders placed for single issue comics CAN NOT BE CANCELED and/or REFUNDED. Again, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
WE NO LONGER ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL ORDERS ON OUR SITE!
Sorry, but due to increasing issues of lost emails, missing packages, fraudulent orders, and people who can't understand why international shipping isn't free, we will no longer automatically accept international orders on our website.
